Rationale
Appa is a 3/4 flying flash legend that airбends (blink-with-cost-reduction) any number of your nonland permanents on ETB, then generates a 1/1 Ally token each time you cast from exile. This creates a self-sustaining value engine: airbend key ETB creatures, recast them cheaply for {2}, and accrue tokens. Signature in white blink/flicker and tokens-go-wide shells; particularly powerful in ETB-heavy boards where airbending 4+ permanents floods the board with tokens off a single cast.
Learnings (3)
Airbend differs from traditional blink/flicker: the exiled permanents don't return automatically — their owners must pay {2} to recast them, giving the opponent some control over your own permanents if you airbend their stuff (but the ability says 'you control', so that risk is minimal). The cost reduction makes high-CMC ETB pieces much more affordable.

Each recast from exile triggers the token-creation ability independently, so airbending 5 permanents and recasting all 5 for {2} each generates 5 Ally tokens in a single turn cycle — the token count scales directly with how many permanents you airbend.

Appa has flash, so it can be used as a combat trick to airbend creatures out of the way of unfavorable blocks, then recast them after combat for {2} each — a line that both saves creatures and generates tokens.
