Rationale
Azula is a 5cmc 4/4 who edict-exiles a nontoken creature and steals a graveyard card on ETB, then lets you cast those exiled cards during your turn with any color of mana — a two-for-one tempo swing with ongoing card advantage. Firebending 2 adds {R}{R} during combat, providing off-color burst mana useful for casting red cards stolen from opponents. Signature in Dimir control/midrange as a must-answer threat; particularly powerful in Brawl 1v1 where the edict reliably hits the best creature and graveyard exile disrupts recursion plans simultaneously.
Learnings (3)
Azula's Firebending 2 produces {R}{R} during combat, which can be used to cast red cards exiled from opponents — this is a key synergy since opponents may have red cards Azula lets you cast with any mana. The red mana only lasts until end of combat, so instants or flash spells are the only ones castable with it.

The ETB exile is an edict effect (opponent chooses), not a targeted removal — opponents can sacrifice their weakest nontoken creature, potentially protecting their best threat. In Brawl, this is usually still devastating since decks often have only one key creature.
tagging · claude-sonnet-4-6
Azula exiles from both the battlefield AND graveyard simultaneously on ETB, giving her double disruption: she can strip a key creature and deny recursion of a graveyard target in the same trigger.
