She functions as a self-growing discard-based threat in midrange and wheels shells where group-discard events (Wheel of Fortune, Windfall) spike her experience counter count by multiple at once. The Firebending mana is minor but can contribute to activating her pump ability during combat. She is commander-dependent as a build-around but still a reasonable value creature in the 99.

• Azula's experience counter trigger counts ALL players who discarded this turn — so resolving a Wheel of Fortune (or similar mass-discard) on the same turn she attacks can generate 3-4 experience counters in a single swing, not just 1.
