Rationale
Eddie Brock enters as a 3/3 that reanimates a 1-or-less MV creature, then transforms into Venom, a 5/5 menace/trample/haste attacker that converts sacrifice into explosive card draw plus free permanent deployment — making the card a self-contained reanimator/aristocrats value engine. Signature in aristocrats and sacrifice shells where small creatures (e.g. mana dorks, tokens) feed Venom's attack trigger for outsized tempo swings. The transform activation is pip-heavy ({3}{B}{R}{G}) and sorcery-speed only, making it slow to flip if Eddie doesn't survive a turn cycle.
Learnings (3)
Venom's attack trigger lets you sacrifice a creature and THEN put a permanent from hand onto the battlefield — the deployed permanent does not need to be a creature, enabling instant-speed-style surprise land drops, artifacts, or enchantments equal to the sacrificed creature's MV.

Sacrificing a high-MV creature (e.g. a 5-drop) on Venom's attack trigger draws 5 cards and lets you deploy a 5-MV permanent for free — pairing with sacrifice-fodder that has high MV but low effective cost (e.g. creatures with suspend, emerge, or cost reducers) maximizes the effect.

Eddie Brock's ETB reanimates MV 1-or-less, which includes powerful 1-drop creatures like Ragavan, Ignoble Hierarch, or any 0-MV artifact creature; this ETB alone provides significant value even if you never flip him.
