Rationale

5cmc 3/1 Boros legend with two triggered abilities: ETB deals damage to an opponent's creature equal to your creature count (scales well in go-wide boards but is a 3/1 vanilla in low-creature shells), and on death distributes two +1/+1 counters across up to two of your creatures. Best in token-go-wide strategies where the ETB removal is meaningful and the death trigger adds counters; mediocre in most other contexts given the fragile body and density-dependent ETB.

Learnings (3)

  • The ETB damage counts all creatures you control including Jet himself, so a minimum of 1 damage is guaranteed, but the card is not worth running unless you regularly field 5+ creatures.

  • The death trigger distributes counters only 'up to two' targets, so it provides modest resilience against board wipes — often the counters land on survivors of a sweeper.

  • The hybrid {R/W} pips mean the card is accessible in mono-red or mono-white but the triple-hybrid cost at 5cmc is steep for either color outside of dedicated Boros builds.
