Longshot is a 4cmc 3/3 reach legendary that reduces noncreature spell costs by {1} and deals 2 damage to each opponent per noncreature spell cast — a combined cost-reducer and burn payoff engine. Signature in red spellslinger and burn shells where it accelerates storm-like sequences and turns each spell into a Lightning Strike to the table; tier-1 in Brawl (1v1 means 25 life and the drain hits harder), tier-2 in multiplayer Commander where 2 damage per spell across 40-life opponents is valuable but not dominant without a critical mass of cheap instants/sorceries.
