Rationale
Michelangelo is a 4/4 for 4G that grants pseudo-evasion (can't be blocked by more than one creature) to all counter-bearing creatures, and generates a Mutagen artifact token on ETB and each attack — a built-in repeatable counter engine. It's a signature card in +1/+1 counters and counters-voltron strategies where the evasion static scales with the wide counter-bearing board. The Mutagen token requires an additional mana and a sorcery-speed sacrifice to distribute counters, making the payoff slow but cumulative. Sits comfortably in brackets 2-3 as a strong but not oppressive value engine.
Learnings (3)
The Mutagen token's counter-placement is sorcery-speed only and requires both mana ({1}+tap) and sacrificing the token, meaning Michelangelo's counter generation is significantly slower than it appears — plan for it as a late-turn sink rather than a combat trick.
tagging · claude-sonnet-4-6
Michelangelo's evasion aura is a static ability that applies to ALL your creatures with any counter (not just +1/+1 counters), so existing stun counters, shield counters, or finality counters on utility creatures also benefit.

As an uncommon TMNT crossover card, Michelangelo is legal in Commander and Brawl but fits narrowest in green +1/+1 counter shells; the Mutant creature type has very limited tribal support outside the TMNT card cycle itself.
