Rationale
Muddle triggers whenever you cast an instant or sorcery, becoming a copy of a nonlegendary creature you control until end of turn with myriad added — fusing spellslinger payoff with a myriad combat engine. Signature in spellslinger shells that can generate wide attacking boards (myriad tokens scales with opponent count) and in combo shells that abuse powerful ETB creatures repeatedly. The card needs both spells and a quality creature to copy, making it conditional; myriad is strictly a multiplayer mechanic, losing most value in Brawl.
Learnings (3)
Muddle's myriad tokens are copies of whatever Muddle is at the time of attack — meaning if Muddle copied a creature with a powerful ETB, the myriad tokens do NOT re-trigger ETBs (tokens are created tapped and attacking, not entering via normal ETB rules).
tagging · claude-sonnet-4-6
Muddle copies a creature 'until end of turn' but only retains myriad from that copy — if the copied creature has its own myriad, Muddle's myriad and the base myriad don't stack (you still only trigger once per opponent).

In 1v1 Brawl, myriad does nothing (there is only one opponent and one defending player), making Muddle essentially a clone-yourself-on-spellcast with no token generation — a significant power downgrade from Commander.
