Rationale
Primo enters as a 0/0 that scales to (2X)/2X with trample via its X cost, then generates a Fractal token matching the combat damage whenever a base-power-0 creature deals combat damage — including itself. This creates a self-reinforcing loop in counters/plus-one-counters shells: Primo swings, makes a token sized to the hit, that token can swing next turn to make another. Signature in counters-voltron and tokens-go-wide strategies in Simic; weak in control or aggro that can't capitalize on the attack-damage trigger chain.
Learnings (3)
Primo's trigger requires 'base power 0' — this is the creature's printed power, not its power after counters. A Fractal token with 20 +1/+1 counters still has base power 0 and qualifies, enabling a self-sustaining combat-damage loop.

The token created by Primo's trigger also has base power 0, so it will itself trigger Primo's ability when it deals combat damage, creating an exponential snowball if left unchecked.

Casting Primo with X=0 produces a 0/0 that immediately dies unless there are other +1/+1 counter effects on the board (e.g., Hardened Scales, Doubling Season). Always invest mana in X or have counter support in play.
