Scarlet Spider, Kaine

Scarlet Spider is a 2-mana 2/1 menace legend with a discard-outlet ETB that grows him to 3/2 and a Mayhem ability that lets him recur from the graveyard for {B/R} if he was discarded this turn. His discard synergy makes him a natural fit in wheels/discard-matters shells, and Mayhem rewards being discarded with low-cost recursion. At only 2 CMC he's an efficient aggro piece in Rakdos midrange, but his 2/1 base stat line and conditional growth cap his ceiling.

• Scarlet Spider's Mayhem trigger only works if he was discarded THIS turn — he can't be discarded in a prior turn and then cast from the graveyard later, making Mayhem a same-turn discard-outlet payoff rather than general graveyard recursion.
