Rationale

Vnwxt is a 2cmc 0/4 blue legendary that removes your maximum hand size and, at max speed (requiring an opponent to lose life on each of your previous 3 turns), replaces every card draw with drawing two. In 1v1 Brawl the speed engine is easier to maintain and doubling every draw is backbreaking at 25 life, pushing it to tier-1; in multiplayer Commander the speed condition requires consistent life-loss from opponents (combat, burn, drain) making it tier-2 but a defining draw engine in decks that reliably deal damage each turn. It's a win-more engine that does very little until it reaches max speed.

Learnings (3)

  • The 'Start your engines!' speed counter only advances when an OPPONENT loses life, so Vnwxt in a purely reactive blue control shell with no ping/drain may stall at low speed and provide almost no value.

  • At max speed, Vnwxt's replacement effect doubles EVERY draw — including draw steps, cantrips, and wheel effects — making it a game-ending card advantage engine in shells that can reliably ping or drain opponents each turn.

  • The 0/4 body is naturally resilient to most 1- and 2-damage pings and red direct-damage removal, making Vnwxt surprisingly hard to kill with the most common creature-kill spells in the format.
