Rationale
Ragost is a 2-mana Boros commander that converts all your artifacts into Foods (adding a sacrifice outlet/lifegain ability to each), then lets you sacrifice any Food for {1}{T} to deal 3 damage to each opponent, and untaps itself whenever you gain life. This creates a self-sustaining loop: sacrifice an artifact-Food to gain 3 life → untap Ragost → sacrifice another → ping opponents repeatedly. Signature in Boros lifegain, food-matters, and aristocrats/artifact-sacrifice shells; conflicts with voltron (sacrificing artifacts kills equipment) and control (too combo-centric and creature-reliant).
Learnings (3)
Ragost's static ability retroactively makes ALL artifacts Foods — this includes mana rocks, equipment, and other utility artifacts, giving them a sacrifice outlet even if that is normally undesirable in voltron or equipment shells.

The untap trigger fires at EACH end step (including opponents'), meaning if you can gain life on an opponent's turn (e.g. via an artifact-Food sacrifice in response to something), you untap Ragost for additional activations even outside your own turn.

In a deck with many cheap artifacts, Ragost can chain multiple 3-damage pings in a single turn by gaining life from one sacrifice, untapping, and repeating — this can function as a lethal combo with enough sacrifice fodder and a way to gain life between activations.
