Rationale

Reckless Fireweaver is a 2-mana 1/3 that pings each opponent whenever an artifact ETBs — a classic artifact-matters drain engine. It's a signature payoff in artifact-storm and treasure-spam shells where it can close out games with repeated pings, but it does nothing without a dense artifact gameplan. In Brawl (1v1), dealing 1 per artifact to a single opponent is still meaningful at 25 life, but requires a dedicated artifact shell.

Learnings (3)

  • Reckless Fireweaver combos with repeatable artifact token generators (Krark-Clan Ironworks loops, Treasures, Clues, or Food spam) to deal lethal damage without ever swinging in combat — it functions more like a combo finisher than an aggro card.

  • In a multiplayer game, the 'each opponent' clause means each artifact ETB deals 1 damage to ALL opponents simultaneously, making it scale dramatically better in 4-player Commander than in 1v1 Brawl.

  • Because the trigger fires on ANY artifact you control entering (not just ones you cast), blink effects on artifact creatures, bounce-and-replay loops, and mass token generation (e.g. Pia Nalaar, Myr Battlesphere) all multiply its output.
